The Session

The skill that separates good from undetectable.

Most practitioners learn to fit a system correctly. Far fewer learn to cut it in a way that makes it completely invisible. Cutting into a hair system requires a different mindset, a different technique and a different set of skills to cutting natural hair — and it’s the part clients notice most.

This session focuses exclusively on that skill. By the end you’ll understand how to read a system, how to approach the hairline, and how to blend without making the errors that make results look unnatural.

Prerequisite

Prior hair system training is required. This is a specialist session, not an introduction. Haven’t trained yet? Start with the Core Certification.

Reading the System
How to assess density, direction and base type before making a single cut — the decisions made here define the result.
Hairline Work
Approaching the front edge correctly. The techniques Fletch uses to create an undetectable transition between system and skin.
Blending into Natural Hair
Connecting the system to the client’s own hair on the sides and back — where most practitioners give themselves away.
Texture and Personalisation
Adding texture, movement and personality to the cut so it looks like a real hairstyle, not a fitted piece.
Common Errors & How to Avoid Them
The six most common cutting mistakes — shown, explained and corrected through practical work.
